TNS BRISTOL OFFICE MAKEOVER

As part of our office makeover for TNS Bristol we were tasked with injecting visual impact into a dull corridor space in addition to a tired looking reception area and boardroom. Our Tension Fabric System was featured in all of these areas in order to clad unsightly partition walls which were unsuitable for the application of our pasted seamless wall murals. The brief was a challenge but as usual at URBANGRAFIK we were well up for it – so bring it on!

Tension Fabric is perfect for disguising problem walls and can provide uninspiring workspace interiors with a new lease of life. The added benefits of Tension Fabric are that once the system is in place the graphics are interchangeable, machine washable and it even has acoustic dampening properties.

Here's some of the Before & After shots detailing some of the changes we made in the space:

Before & After: TNS BRISTOL

RECEPTION BEFORE
Uninspiring Reception Area featured a partition with outdated branding.

RECEPTION AFTER
We used vibrant Tension Fabric Walls to clad around the outdated partition removing the need for any building work.

RECEPTION BEFORE
The uninspiring Reception Area lacked branding and any visual impact with blank surfaces being a missed opportunity.

RECEPTION AFTER
We used door graphics on storage walls and bespoke seamless wall murals of local landmarks and incorporated elements from the company's recent rebrand.

CORRIDOR BEFORE
This dull corridor lacked branding, visual impact and clear room naming.

CORRIDOR AFTER
We provided branded door graphics and bold room naming on window film matching the colour palette provided in the company's new brand identity guidelines.

CORRIDOR BEFORE
The view down the corridor was unwelcoming for both visitors and staff.

CORRIDOR AFTER
Images of striking local landmarks on Tension Fabric were featured alongside branded door graphics to provide a much better impression when entering the office.

BREAKOUT AREA BEFORE
A small Breakout Area for visitors and staff was again uninspiring.

BREAKOUT AREA AFTER
We made use of dead space by featuring vibrant street art graphics on double doors and on Tension Fabric either side to complete the new improved look.

CORRIDOR BEFORE
The view of the other side of the corridor on the way out was dominated by outdated wooden doors and blank wall space.

CORRIDOR AFTER
We refurbished the outdated doors with branded door graphics and continued the theme of local landmarks on Tension Fabric along the whole elevation.

BOARDROOM BEFORE
A large wall in the boardroom was another missed opportunity just waiting for the URBANGRAFIK treatment!

BOARDROOM AFTER
An impressive statement wall was introduced with a night shot of Bristol on Tension Fabric providing a much more stimulating environment in which to hold meetings.

A Canterbury Tale...

A Canterbury Tale...

URBANGRAFIK have recently spent some time in Canterbury capturing some impressive landscape imagery and we are looking for a suitable interior project to feature this new material. We were also granted permission to shoot inside Canterbury Cathedral and we think the end results are stunning!

If you have a suitable project in a workspace interior or a hotel which requires wall art of Canterbury please get in touch and we can arrange a private viewing of this exclusive collection. Here's a sneak peak...

URBANGRAFIK BECOME THE TALK OF THE TOON!

Situated right on the banks of the River Tyne there was only one real theme for the Ground Floor graphics for our latest office interiors project for Pulse. Seamless wall murals, large canvases and cabinet wraps featuring our own photography helped showcase the buildings and bridges of this historic river.

The First Floor presented its own challenges having, for the second project running, high vaulted ceilings – but there is nothing we like more than a challenge. The introduction of large tailor-made ceiling banners featuring local landmarks combined with famous quotes from the region completely revitalised the space. With the addition of a ‘Blaydon Races’ wall vinyl and murals around the top of the staircase the transformation was complete.

Here are a selection of Before & After shots from the project to demonstrate part of the transformation that was made:

SENT TO COVENTRY ON ANOTHER CREATIVE CHALLENGE FOR PULSE.

Coventry was next on our growing portfolio of Pulse office transformations and this unique layout presented us with a tough challenge. We were tasked with maintaining the same creative approach of providing a scheme influenced by location and history without turning this modern office into a museum.

Following plenty of research and some clever use of materials and techniques we helped create another unique space. A centrepiece is the boardroom which celebrates the importance of the British motor industry. A combination of abstract vintage car images overlaid with Coventry landmarks form large canvases, a bespoke printed roller blind and a unique feature wall mural.

A themed meeting room is influenced by local hero ‘Lady Godiva using bold tensioned fabric and door graphics – not forgetting the cheeky Peeping Tom’ blinds! Knitted-look’ blinds and large fabric ceiling banners now adorn the main office in reference to the city's links to the textile industry with wooden printed OSB panels on the walls featuring the ruined nearby Cathedral.

ICONIC INTERIOR GRAPHICS FOR A NEW LANGUAGE SCHOOL BASED IN LONDON.

Existing clients LILA* commissioned URBANGRAFIK to provide a scheme of interior graphics for the first phase of development of their new language school in Canada Water, London. Using the theme ‘River Icons we emulated a walk along the Thames by introducing bespoke photographic wall murals of famous London landmarks in themed classrooms. To support the scheme, tailor-made colourful door graphics and subtle, custom glass manifestations were provided featuring an abstract representation of flowing water and reeds which can be found in the surrounding area.

We incorporated LILA*'s branding throughout and introduced distressed surface graphics in reception to fit the urban/industrial look we helped identify for the school. We designed custom ‘All You Need Is Love’ illuminated feature signage in the cafe area which adopts a subtle reference to the company's Liverpool roots while underpinning their brand statement of ‘Love to Learn’. The whole scheme was finished off with vibrant, LILA* branded ‘one-way vision’ external window graphics near to the entrance providing the perfect introduction into the stylish interior of this unique language school.

New! Ghost Signs Collection from URBANGRAFIK

New! Ghost Signs Collection from URBANGRAFIK

As part of an ongoing project, URBANGRAFIK are capturing imagery of ‘Ghost Signs’ featured across London and other parts of the UK. Our new collection depicts individual examples of bespoke typography that were once hand painted by sign painters onto the brickwork of buildings. These faded remains of advertising were originally commissioned to promote brands and have since been neglected and sadly forgotten over the decades. Our ‘Ghost Signs’ Collection not only creates a permanent record of their existence but also captures their distressed nature which can be used as a graphic statement in their own right as interior wall art. A range of canvas prints featuring these iconic wall murals are now available to purchase in our URBANGRAFIK Shop. More prints coming soon!
